Meet the Pastor
Senior Pastor Luis Llerena Jr. was born in San Francisco, California, with immigrant parents from Quito, Ecuador, and Managua, Nicaragua. Luis grew up in the bay area. He has been everywhere, including the Amazon jungles of Ecuador, with a famous former killer tribe who killed five missionaries in 1956, including Nate Saint. He was privileged to preach the Sunday service while visiting the tribe, along with the other twenty people traveling with him. He, his wife, and son have also served on mission trips to impoverished areas of Ecuador, where they built homes and shared the Gospel through soccer.
Luis has lived with his wife in Oregon, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and Indiana. They've started two churches and served in numerous other churches and ministries.
Luis has also served in government as a recognized Juvenile gang expert who has trained police departments and school districts. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Northern Colorado. He has degrees in Bible and Theology from Toccoa Falls College, as well as a Master's from Dallas Theological Seminary. Luis loves to share his faith and encourages others in their walk with Christ. He and his wife also have two children: Meagan and Luis.
